Tucumcari, NM Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ —On October 11 Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ – 12, 2023, Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ’s rodeo team competed at the 16th Annual Mesalands Community College Grand Canyon Region Intercollegiate Rodeo at the Quay County Fairgrounds.
The Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ men’s team is placed 5th in the NIRA standings. NTU is thrilled to report that Isaiah Tom won the bareback short go for a 67-point ride and received 60 points for 1st place. Wyatt was a 79 in the long go, received 50 points, and placed 2nd in the average with a 79-point ride with another 50 points, totaling 100 points for the weekend. The women Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ ’s team is currently in 5th place with 145 points.
Our teams are gearing up for the upcoming college rodeo event at Dine Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ ’ College in Tsaile, AZ, on November 2 and 3. Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ is proud of its Rodeo Team Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ ’s accomplishments and looks forward to continued success in the upcoming competitions.
